Nurse Team

We have six Practice Nurses - Karen Wilshaw (Diabetes Lead and Co-Clinical Lead), Karen Spencer (Anti-coagulation Lead), Ulrikke Holmskov (Respiratory Lead), Lucy Blackman, Eleanor James and Sam West. We also have five Advanced Healthcare Assistants Rachel Wiggins, Hui Huang, Leigh Woodward, Laura Ford and Jodie Wretham, supported by Shirley Ridge who is our Clinical Nursing Administrator.  

As well as carrying out normal nursing duties they also run an asthma clinic, anticoagulation clinic, diabetic clinic, immunisations, cervical smears and provide advice on health in relation to travel abroad. The nurses can be seen via the appointment system and certain appointments are available to be booked via the patient access app or NHS app

We are also lucky to have nurse Sam Austin working with us on a Wednesday afternoon to host our women's health clinics. These include coil fittings for both contraception and HRT, contraceptive implants, smear tests etc. Sam has a raft of knowledge to offer and you are able to book a triage call with her via the surgery reception team. Once Sam has spoken with you for a triage she will book you into have the coil/implant in the clinic at the practice the following week.
